I was born in Darwin to parents Norm and Shirley. Norm was involved in the parliament here in the Northern Territory and Shirley was an educator with a massive interest in the arts and crafts. I grew up near the beach and drew to while away the hours. I was involved in various theatre groups while doing my first degree in Darwin. I travelled the world from India to England in 1995 and 1996 and started to experience life with a different perspective. I came back to Darwin and started a Bachelor of Fine Arts, at then Northern Territory University (now Charles Darwin University). I lived and breathed the art scene of Darwin. I settled down in 2003, after meeting my partner and having a child. I continued to progress my art through drawings and paintings whenever I could, including while travelling to Indonesia, New Zealand and parts of Europe.
